My
Story

I am a firm believer in the importance of movement, excercise and adventure.  I have experienced countless times, in myself and others, the benefits that these bring for physical, mental and emotional well-being.  I am convinced that these benefits are multiplied when the activity takes place in beautiful, wild, inspiring environments.

I have spent the last 20 years working in Outdoor Education, providing opportunities for people from all walks of life to experience the joy of adventures in incredible places, using this as a means of personal development.

I am very lucky to call the Lake District home for me and my family.  Although I enjoy any adventure that takes me out into the mountains, my 'healthy obsession' with running has taken over since moving to Cumbria 10 years ago.  I work hard to try and compete at the highest level I can in all manner of running including fell, ultra, road and cross-country. I'm often found hammering around on the gravel bike and when the weather is kind enough, rock climbing high up on a mountain crag.

I am the proud Dad of a beautiful toddler and love nothing more than family adventures and introducing her to the magic of exploring.

My journey to becoming a Sports Massage Therapist

I have been running, biking, climbing and genrerally pushing my body for many years, and like most people in this position I have experienced my fair share of niggles, injuries, aches and pains.  Over these years I have seen a wide range of therapists to help me along the way - including physios, chiropractors, massage therapists and osteopaths.  I've always been fascinated by what they do and understanding how the body works and what actually helps.

Throughout the Covid period I picked up an injury and had a whole lot of time on my hands to read and delve deeper into what was going on. The more I learned, the more fascinated I became.  This was the perfect opportunity to undertake formal training and to begin the journey of becoming a Sports Massage Therapist myself.

I have now completed my Level 3 and Level 4 Sports Massage qualifications and spent hundreds of hours both providing hands on treatments and studying to improve my background knowledge.

I am now very excited to be in a position to offer my Sports Massage treatments to help you get out there and feel great!
